This year, the Presbyterian churches in our area participated in two work weeks to help people recover from the Spring 2019 floods. It is estimated that recovery from those floods will go well into 2022 due to the pandemic shutdown.
In October, folks from Carson & Oakland Sharon and New Life Presbyterian Churches worked together on houses at King Lake near Valley, Nebraska, where they are still rebuilding from the 2019 floods. They painted the trim on one house, and installed flooring and a door at another house. They ate lunch together as they got to know one another through wonderful conversations.
